I am no good terrible at this. There, I said it. The first step to recovery, is admitting there is a problem, which brings me to this. I have been too busy to even sign on and update my blog. Not because I have nothing to share, and not because I don't want to share anything, but because I am busy constantly busy. I have a ton to share, daily. If these walls could talk at the Painter house, then I am sure I would have a lot of explaining to do :) We are on the go, from sun up, to sun down. So, my New Year's Resolution (haha--I'm laughing, because I have NEVER kept one) is to update my blog regularly. And, if anybody cares (that is, if anybody is reading this) then it will be your job, to hold me accountable. I can assure you, that there will be times that reading it, will be worth it. (not really, but...) I have time to update facebook, only because it takes 2 seconds to do. Sitting here to write a blog post, takes a little longer, because I can get carried away, telling the tales, of our lives. But, I will make a vow to try and keep everyone updated (mostly those who don't have facebook) of the daily (maybe weekly) happenings in this always crazy, but so worth it life I live.
Owen is 2 now, and believe me, all of those things you hear about the 2's, are TRUE, and we are finding it out, and being reminded daily. He is in to everything. His new thing is to say "huh" or "what", when you talk to him. So we are in the process of teaching him "ma'am" and "sir". Of course "sir" is easy. But, when he says "ma'am" it is more like "mane", which then sends me into laughter, because he sounds like some gangsta rapper, and it always makes me say (in my head) "what's up mane." I know I am being paid back for my happenings as a child/teenager/young adult...but I didn't realize it would start so soon! I must honestly say though, I would NOT trade it for anything, in this world! (maybe a nice quiet bath, or a massage) Just kidding...
As, I sit and type this, he (Owen, not Chad) is loading blocks, with his new trackhoe/excavator (that is supposed to be in his sandbox OUTSIDE) in the middle of the den, in his diaper...because, that's how we do it here :) I cannot possibly fill you in on the past year and a half, in this one post, so I'm not going to try. But, I will start fresh from here, and move forward through 2012!
